Foot Blood Circulation is a problem as we get older. Our arteries and heart are slowly deteriorating. It becomes harder for the heart to pump blood to distant locations like toes.A slowing down of circulation in the foot may be felt as a tingling or numbing sensation.

Some ideas to increase blood foot circulation are to soak your foot in warm water for 5 to 15 minutes. How hard is that to do? All that's really needed is a large enough container for one or two feet. Make sure to take your feet about before the water gets cold. This is also a technique to remove minor frostbite. There are also fancy gadgets that can be bought which do the same purpose.

Another ideas is stretching. Point your toes out and hold for a count of 5. Do the same when bring your toes in. Move your foot in a complete circle. Do a runner's stretch where you lean forward against a horizontal object and have one leg back and one forward. This will stretch your calf muscles. Consider doing some yoga. The downward dog pose is excellent for increasing circulation to the foot.

Some foods are also beneficial to circulations. Red grapes, cherries, pomegranate, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon will all help to increase circulation.

Of course nothing can beat daily exercise where the heart rate is pushed at least 60 percent over the resting heart rate for a period of time. This will make the heart stronger to pump out blood to your extremities.

In conclusion, foot blood circulation is important as we age and also for those who have or are at risk for diabetes. These are are some simple tips that will improve the blood flow to your hard working feet.
